Éclos by Cosentino to our Newcastle, Central Coast and Hunter Region clients. It's the newest surface in the Cosentino family, and it's a genuinely different category of material, one that combines the depth and movement of natural stone with a level of safety and sustainability we haven't seen matched before.
A New Category, Not Just a New Colour
Cosentino calls Éclos an "inlayered mineral surface," and once you've seen a slab in person, it's easy to understand why. Using their proprietary Inlayr technology, colour and veining are built through the body of the material in layers, rather than printed on top, so the pattern carries right through the slab and into the edges. That's a real advantage for mitred edges and waterfall islands, where a surface pattern would otherwise give the game away. The debut collection, Eclectic Veins, includes six colourways, among them Tajnar, Wondr, Phantome and Ivora, each offering a distinct take on natural veining.
Built to Handle Everyday Life
Éclos is formulated with zero crystalline silica, so you get the strength and consistency of an mineral surface with real peace of mind about what's in the material. It's also made using at least 50 percent recycled content, with some colours reaching close to 90 percent, which matters to a growing number of our clients. On performance, Éclos holds up to heat of up to 220°C, including direct contact with hot cookware, and resists everyday scratches and stains while staying easy to clean and maintain. For a Hunter Region kitchen that sees school lunches, Sunday roasts and everything in between, that's the kind of durability that counts.
